Download the Alice 2.0 (not 2.2) program from  ==>> http://www.alice.org/

To open the Alice program - double click the Alice.exe file. From there you can create new Alice programs, open existing Alice programs (files with a .a2w extension), and go through the tutorials.
To go through the 4 tutorials that are included, open Alice, click the 'tutorial' tab and follow the directions, or if you are at the menu level of the Alice environment go to <Help> ==>> <Tutorial>

Code to look at for chapter 1:

Download the zip file, unzip it, and open the .a2w files from within the Alice environment.
