Effective June 16th, 2010, students will use a Google-powered SMC email account (<user_name>@student.smc.edu) as the official means of communication with the College. What does this mean for on-line faculty? On or after June 16th email sent through eCollege will go to the new SMC Email account.

Once you are enrolled, do not send email to hurley_daniel@smc.edu!! Use the eCollege email system.

The threaded discussion at ecollege is for communication with your classmates and me in this class. I will respond to your questions there within 24 hours. For correspondence of a personal nature, use the email system within ecollege.

You will not be able to login to SMC Online until your class begins.

To access SMC Online (and/or eCompanion), login to

 http://www.smc.edu/students 

and click-on the "SMC Online" link in Student Self-Service (see attached graphic).

Your user id is your 6 or 7 digit Santa Monica College student id.
Your password is your 6 digit month, day and year combination.
For example, if your birthday is March 15, 1986, then your password is 031586

 

 

 

P.S. To see your grades at the end of the semester, login as specified above or you may call admissions at (310) 434-4474. Note that it may take a few days after the end of the semester for grades to be available.
